The Last of Us Part 1: Hydroelectric Dam

The following is a collection of images of my work on The Last of Us: Part 1. At Naughty Dog most environment art creation is a job split between two partners working on a level, Environment Art Modeling/World Building (Myself) and Environment Textures/Materials (Jared Sobotta).
.
For this level I was responsible for taking the essence of the original Last of Us game and bring it up to a modern standard in line with The Last of Us Part II quality and art direction. Jared and I set out to develop the look and create the asset library for the nature kit that we used for this level that could in turn be used by other members of the team on various other levels. I also worked on rock sculpts, all man made structures and buildings, vegetation assets, high poly and game models, all world building and set dressing, performance and optimization.
.
Environments are a huge team effort, thanks to everyone on the Naughty Dog team!
